Counselling and well-being services

SLIIT’s Helping Hands Counselling and Well-being unit, is headed by a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Helping Hands seeks to enhance student learning by promoting overall health and emotional well-being. The confidential services extended by the unit include but is not limited to;

Understanding and regulating your emotion | Enhancing time-management skills | Managing stress | Building resilience | Overcoming anxiety and depression | Dealing with grief and loss | Improving self – esteem and self- confidence | Facing exams with less stress
Student are encouraged to reach out to Helping Hands..
  • If you or people around you have noticed a behaviour that is different from your usual self, or a behaviour that has been unwantedly repeated.
  • If a stressor, situation, person or your own mood is affecting your academic and work performance or social life.
