SLIIT, the best degree awarding institute in the fields of IT, Business and Engineering in Sri Lanka, welcomed yet another batch of ambitious and motivated students on the 18thA�November at SLIITa��s Malabe Campus. The welcoming ceremony was held with the participation of SLIIT academic staff and management to an audience numbering over 4000, comprising enrolled students and their parents. This year over 1300 students commenced classes on the 18th of November and received the opportunity to be a part of one of Sri Lankaa��s finest higher education institutes. Similar welcoming ceremonies were held at SLIIT Kandy and Matara Centres on the 19thA�of November 2013.
As the foremost tertiary institution in Sri Lanka to possess strong global links with many high-ranking universities, SLIIT has thus far produced over 8000 graduates in the fields of IT, Business and Engineering A�with Bachelors and Masters degrees and a further 20,000 IT professionals, amounting to nearly half of all IT professionals in the country.
