“Hith Pawra”, a scholarship scheme to assist students facing financial difficulties in pursuing their higher education at SLIIT, was launched on the 11th of July 2019 by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lalith Gamage. The scheme is an initiative of the Student Interactive Society 2018/19 and was established with the immense support of SLIIT staff. Out-going President of Student Interactive Society Mr. Mihiran Weerathunga made the initial contribution by donating his full semester scholarship he received for his SIS office bearer position. The cheque was handed over to the Vice Chancellor at the launching ceremony.
