Currently, we offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and accommodate over 7000 students, including international students from various regions in the world. More than 9000 alumni have graduated from our three faculties: Business, Computer and Engineering. We take great pride in producing graduates who make meaningful contributions to their communities and professions. Among our diversely qualified graduates alumni are software engineers, engineers, business analysts and noted entrepreneurs.

ConceptNursery was established in 2000 to incubate technology centric innovative ideas, which would not only stimulate the growth of the Sri Lankan IT industry, but also simultaneously encourage local entrepreneurial capitalism and attract investment from both domestic/international Institutional and Venture Capital sources. Our primary goal is to identify, recruit and build new companies involved in cutting-edge technologies that would support the development of a highly skilled IT workforce, conduct advanced R&D in web and wireless technologies and enhance the economic development of Sri Lanka through the creation of wealth and opportunities.

Professional Development Programme

The Professional Development Program (PDP) unit of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is the entity that is responsible for the delivery of continuous Professional Development Programs to satisfy the needs of the industry. This area has been identified as a propitious niche market for SLIIT due to its core competencies and the demand available in the industry for the programs. The students reading for the Professional Development Programs offered by SLIIT attain a competitive advantage in a highly competitive business arena as SLIIT provides a focused academic trajectory.

SLIIT School of Architecture

Architecture is the study of the ‘Art of Designing Built Environments’. It is a professional pathway which is suited for creative people with sensitivity and an ability to understand the technological aspects of building and construction. An Architect being the key professional who will determine how our living environment will look, feel and function requires to develop attributes which incorporate knowledge, skills and Sensitivity; each of which will be taught and carefully tested during the course of architectural education at SLIIT.

Hospitality & Cookery

The Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM), Sri Lanka’s largest hotel school, is a joint venture between William Angliss Institute (WAI), Australia. Based in the SLIIT campus in Malabe, we are a dedicated centre for Hospitality, Tourism, Foods and Events. William Angliss has a proud history of over 75 years, and in our Melbourne campus we annually have over 21,500 local clients and students, and 1,300 international students from over 45 countries with more than 100,000 graduates worldwide.
