The students in the modern environment should be interested in how to apply information technology to improve business and to enhance the quality of life for individuals in the society. Management Information Systems Degree is where business meets technology. Students will obtain the required theoretical and practical knowledge with other skills by this four year program. With this MIS specialization, students are introduced following areas for their careers to become business analysts, consultants, innovators and entrepreneurs. Students interested in MIS are typically good problem solvers, can handle multi-tasks, take challenges easily, always seek and initiate new projects, can handle ambiguity, like to work in teams, can see both the big-picture and work on the detail, and they will work hard for high payoff.

Entry requirements

Minimum 3 “S” passes in G.C.E A/L (Sri Lanka) or a minimum 3 “D” passes in G.C.E A/L Cambridge or Edexcel (in any subject stream) in one and the same sitting, and a pass on the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT.

COURSE FEE

A semester fee of Rs.330,000 will have to be paid to the SLIIT for each semester for the period of four years, to complete the degree in Sri Lanka. Fees for any subsequent semester should be paid prior to the commencement of each semester.
