The SLIIT Faculty of Humanities and Sciences successfully hosted its annual symposium – ‘SLIIT International Conference on Advancements in Sciences & Humanities (SICASH 2022)’ for the third consecutive year as a virtual event on the 11th of October 2022, with the theme “ Creating Innovative Solutions Through Research”.
SICASH 2022 was aimed at providing a platform for renowned and emerging scholars, both local and international, to showcase their subject-specific and multidisciplinary research in the areas of Natural Sciences, Nursing and Health Sciences, Law, Psychology, Education, English Language and Literature, and Mathematics and Statistics.
The conference was graced by the Chief Guest – Prof. Udith Jayasinghe – Vice-Chancellor, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, and the guest of honour Prof. Lalith Gamage – Vice Chancellor, SLIIT, followed by the Chancellor, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Deans, Directors, and the Heads of the departments. The Keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Katherine B. Ensor (President, American Statistical Association, Professor in Statistics, Rice University, USA) and seven plenary speakers delivered insightful addresses on topics from different disciplines.
