SLIIT signed a MOU with OREL IT (Private) on 18th January 2023 at SLIIT Malabe Campus. This mutually benefitted partnership was initiated by the Industry Engagement Unit of Faculty of Computing – SLIIT with the assistance of SLIIT Career Guidance Unit with the aim to nurture and empower high potential students of Faculty of Computing – SLIIT with tech and other skills while offering an exclusive scholarship enabling fast-tracked career for undergraduates by being part of the workforce from an early stage of the degree program and continue studies. The MoU was signed between Prof. Nimal Rajapakse, senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost of SLIIT, and Dr. Upendra Pieris, CEO- OREL IT (Pvt) Ltd., in the presence of a bilateral delegation representing both SLIIT and OREL IT (Pvt) Ltd.
