SLIIT Campus Safety and Security Unit successfully hosted the Fire Warden Training Session 1 on 16th June 2023, featuring Mr. Flesion Perera as the distinguished guest speaker and trainer. Mr. Perera, the Fire Prevention and Fire Training Director at the City Fire Brigade Colombo, BOI Fire Unit, delivered an informative theoretical session, raising awareness about essential safety techniques among the participants. A practical session was also conducted on the SLIIT premises, allowing the nominated wardens of faculties and departments to actively engage and receive hands-on training. This comprehensive program provided participants with valuable knowledge and skills, empowering them to handle fire emergency situations effectively.
