The Dean’s List Award Ceremony, recognizing the outstanding academic achievements of students during the 2023 semester examinations, was held on 22nd May 2024 at the SLIIT main auditorium. A total of 356 students attended the ceremony, out of 500 eligible Dean’s List awardees.
Prof. Pradeep Abeygunawardhana, Dean of the Faculty of Computing – SLIIT, welcomed the audience with insights on excelling in their studies. Prof. Nuwan Kodagoda, PVC of the Faculty of Computing – SLIIT, shared guidance on developing a successful career. Mr. Chanuka Asel, an invited student with a perfect GPA of 4.00, addressed the gathering, sharing his experiences of student life at SLIIT. Director of Administration, Mr.Hemantha Muthukumarana, delivered the vote of thanks.
The presentation party, comprising Prof. Dasuni Nawinna, Prof. Anuradha Jayakody, Dr. Samantha Kumara Rajapaksha, Dr.Kalpani Manatunga, Dr. Prasanna Sumathipala, DrJayantha Amararachchi, Dr. Jeewanee Bamunusinga, DrNamalie Walgampaya, and Mr. @Amila Nuwan Senarathne distributed certificates to the awardees. The event also highlighted the distribution of FCSC appointments and the appreciation of past committee members.
