On the occasion of the 89th birthday of the late former minister, the founder of the scholarship fund, Mr. Lalith Athulathmudali, and the annual scholarship award held on 09.10.2025 at BMICH by the Vice-Chancellor of SLIIT Institute of Higher Education, Prof. Lalith Gamage, and Chairman of Lalith Athulathmudali Foundation, Member of Parliament Mr. Ravi Karunanayake, Trustees of the foundation and many distinguished guests participated.
The 3rd batch of 50 students following degree courses at SLIIT (2024) were awarded scholarship grants to the value of 25% of the entire tuition fee covering 8 semesters. These scholarships are granted in collaboration with SLIIT.
