SLIIT Womena��s Basketball Team won the Inter Higher Educational Basketball Tournament 2014 organized by the Royal Institute of Colombo. The tournament was held on 17thA�and 18thA�of January 2015 at Henry Pedris Basketball Court, Colombo 05. SLIIT Womena��s Basketball TeamA�defeated Royal Institute of Colombo by achieving 22 a�� 14 in the finals. SLIIT players also won the awards for the Most Valuable Player and the Best Defensive Player adding more colour to SLIITa��s victory.

Additionally, we are members of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and the International Association of Universities (IAU). Our Civil and Mechanical engineering degrees are recognized by IESL, Sri Lanka. SLIIT is the first Sri Lankan institute to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering & Technology, UK. We've been ranked 8th in Sri Lanka and emerged as the number 1 non-state higher education institution in Sri Lanka.
