
The Minister of Higher Education and Highways Hon. Lakshman Kiriella visited the SLIIT campus in Malabe recently. Minister Kiriella was warmly welcomed by Professor Lalith Gamage, President SLIIT and Professor Lakshman Ratnayake, Chairman SLIIT. A�Together with the Senior Management of SLIIT, Minister Kiriella visited the Bentley research lab, classrooms and the IT, Business, Engineering and Hospitality faculties.

Recently, SLIIT was recognized as the first degree awarding institute in the country to have its BSc (Hons) programme in Information Technology accredited by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. This accreditation has now paved the way for graduates to earn a Chartered Engineering status.
With a variety of academic options, ranging from IT, Business, Engineering, Hospitality and Architecture, SLIIT students have the opportunity to either complete the selected programme in Sri Lanka or transfer to a SLIIT partner university in UK, U.S.A, Canada or Australia.
