On 19th of May 2025, SLIIT Student Services Office successfully conducted Academic Advisory Sessions for the students in the Faculty of Computing and the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences. This initiative aimed to support students in their academic progression and personal development. Ms Jinesha Rupasinghe, Senior Manager – Student Engagement, led an interactive motivation session encouraging self-awareness and reflection on their academic and personal growth. Students were free to meet Academic Advisors representing Faculty and Administrative staff and discuss their concerns openly and confidentially. The Academic Advisor and student agreed on a progression plan to be followed and appreciated this supportive personal approach, to discuss their academic journey constructively. This Academic Advisory exercise is planned to be conducted every semester to provide continuous guidance and support to students throughout their degree completion journey.
