The English Literary Association (ELA), together with the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, successfully organised “Lights Up – Interschool Drama Competition” that that celebrated young talent and the art of storytelling through theatre. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and passion for performance, making it a memorable celebration of dramatic expression.
The competition concluded on a high note with St. Thomas Catholic School, Seeduwa emerging as the winners at the finals, while Lyceum International School, Gampaha was adjudged the first runner-up. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all participating schools, teachers, and students for their enthusiasm and outstanding performances that made Lights Up 2025 a resounding success.
