
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India (IIT) and SLIIT entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance mutual interests in the fields of education and research, to open up new study pathways for students and to contribute to increased international cooperation among nations. By signing this Memorandum of Understanding, SLIIT and IITM have agreed to collaborate in the areas of teaching, research and development, and consultancy studies; providing opportunities for cultural and intellectual enrichment for both staff as well as for students; and similarly in promoting the exchange of programs designed for the mutual benefit of both institutions. On behalf of SLIIT, Prof. Lalith Gamage, Vice-Chancellor, SLIIT, Prof. Nimal Rajapakse, Deputy Vice-Chancellor SLIIT and Prof. Pradeep Abeygunawardhana were present at the MOU signing ceremony while Prof. Raghunathan Rengaswamy, Dean Global Engagement, and Prof. Preethi represented IITM.
