The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), a globally recognized organization for library professionals, recently conducted a transformative training program on “Measurement, Evaluation, and Demonstrating Impact of Library Services” at the SLIIT Malabe Campus.
Held on the 9th and 10th of January, this two-day in-house workshop equipped SLIIT library staff with essential knowledge and skills to effectively plan, deliver, and showcase the impact of their services. The session was led by Dr. Premila Gamage – IFLA Impact Trainer and Information Coordinator, IFLA Regional Division for Asia-Oceania, who generously volunteered her expertise for this initiative. Library staff from Malabe, Metro Campus, Matara Centre, and Curtin Colombo actively participated in this significant workshop.
Certificates were awarded to the participants by Prof. Samantha Thelijjagoda (Pro Vice-Chancellor – Research & International), Pushpamala Perera (Senior Librarian), and Dr. Premila Gamage.
