TechFest is an annual robotic competition held in two stages. In the first stage of Techfest, organized by the university of Moratuwa, a group comprising of four SLIIT undergraduates and one undergraduate student from the open university of Sri Lanka won. Spaghetti Bridge Competition organized by Civil Engineering Community was held on 17th August 2016 at Faculty of Engineering, SLIIT. Each group had to build a bridge made from Spaghetti. The bridge that was carried the heaviest load while still meeting specifications won the competition and bridges were loaded until they fail. Highlights of the event
