Welcome to The Sri Lanka Technology Incubator

The Sri Lanka Technology Incubator (SLTI) also known as Concept nursery is located at SLIIT Malabe Campus which was established in 2002 to promote, assist innovators and establish innovations and startup companies by providing access to business and technical expertise, financial resources, international industry contacts, communication facilities, business advice, business plan development, and marketing.

The connected Companies/establishments use the Institute’s state-of-the-art facilities including modern networking infrastructure and will have access to a pool of expertise and well trained capable students to carry out research and development. Selected students will have the opportunity to work in this facility by engaging
themselves in research and development projects undertaken by these resident companies. This exposure will provide the students with valuable experience in a working environment.

Industry Cells - Initiator

The Industry Cells programme was an initiative by Vice-Chancellor/CEO, with the aim of motivating various industries to recruit SLIIT students as interns in a wide range of professions. The concept was launched mid2015, and by 2016 it had already hit its peak.

It has been integral in facilitating internships with medium and large-sized companies, by providing an established location and competitive infrastructure within the SLIIT campus premises.

Below are some of the companies that were a part of Industry Cells: IFS, 99x, Orange IT, Zillione, Brandix i-3 (Now known as Fortitude), SGIT headed by the John Keells corporate group, Millennium IT (Now falling under the London Stock Exchange), CAM Management Solutions, which later materialised as a start-up company called Digital Pultz.
