BridgeFest2022
Engineering, Research and Innovation Club (ERIC) of the Faculty of Engineering organized the annual BridgeFest competition on 3rd December 2022 in collaboration with the Highway Engineering Society of SLIIT. For the first time, the event was opened to other universities and higher educational institutions across the island. Bridgefest 2022 attracted 44 teams in which 22 teams were from outside of SLIIT. The most effective bridges constructed by the teams were given prizes and certificates.
This event was graced by many staff including Prof. Ayantha Gomes, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and the staff coordinator for this event is Dr. Gobithas Tharmarajah. BridgeFest2022 was successfully concluded around 6.30 pm on the same day with the participation of large gathering of well-wishers and a congratulatory message from Prof. Saman Thilalasiri, Dean Faculty of Engineering.
