Former Sri Lankan Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda, Governor of North Western Province and an adamant environmentalist in his own right, took time off to visit the SLIIT’s cutting-edge green house facility and the plant-tissue culture laboratory. The Governor, who has a deep interest in agro-based technological advancements, was very impressed by the SLIIT initiative. As a result, he expressed his willingness to collaborate with SLIIT in the near future to establish a modern and technologically advanced laboratory facility that would perfectly blend the objectives of the Sri Lankan’s green concept and the SLIIT.
