SSPE SABRA Super 7’s Rugby Tournament 2022, organized by the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) was held on 15th October 2022 at the university grounds, SUSL. This year, 11 universities from all over the island participated in this tournament.
SLIIT competed in the first-round matches under group C and at the end of the first-round matches, SLIIT was leading in the group C. The SLIIT Rugby team defeated the Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka team by 22-0 and was tilted as the plate championship of the tournament and Anjana Vinod from SLIIT Rugby team was titled as the best player of the tournament.
