The Inaugural SciFest – Annual Science Day and Exhibition

The Inaugural SciFest – Annual Science Day and Exhibition organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences was successfully held on the 21st of July 2023 with the participation of more than 250 students representing 12 schools. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. T. M. S. G. Tennakoon, Director/Research and Development, Link Natural (Pvt) Ltd as the chief guest of the event. The live final round of the inter-school science quiz competition was held between Vidura College Colombo and Leeds International College, Galle. Vidura College sailed above to become the champions of the quiz competition. Prof. Sriyani Peiris, Prof. Rexy Rosa, and Dr. Charitha Jayaruk nourished the inauguration with three interactive lecture sessions in the fields of Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. The science exhibition was attractive with many stalls covering all the aspects not only of the science subjects but also of Law, Psychology, and Nursing as well.
