This year’s SLIIT Colours Awards Ceremony was certainly cause for celebration, with significant achievements and participants honoured at the event for both 2017 and 2018; 2017 produced 155 Colour Winners, representing 11 sports . Amongst these, Pawan Gamage (Basketball-Sri Lanka team representative/ CAHM) was awarded Most Outstanding Sportsman and Best All-Round student (Sports), whilst Ruvini Kannangara (Table Tennis-Sri Lanka team representative/ FOE) was awarded Most Outstanding Sportswoman.
2018 saw 156 Colour Winners representing 11 sports , with Pawan Gamage (Basketball-Sri Lanka team representative/ CAHM) once again sweeping the award for Most Outstanding Sportsman for the second year in a row. Whilst Most Outstanding Sportswoman was not awarded this year, Tharindhi Alles Colours for Basketball, Netball, Track & Field/ Basketball Captain, Netball Vice-Captain/ FOB) took home the title of Best All-Round student (Sports) 2018.
The event which was held on December 14th 2018, was hosted at the SLIIT Main Auditorium in Malabe, presided by Chief Guest Mr. Kishu Gomes and Guest-of-Honour, Mr. Dilantha Malagamuwa.
