The Inaugural SLIIT Relay Carnival 2023, organized by the SLIIT Athletics Team in collaboration with the SLIIT Physical Education & Sports Unit, was held on February 16, 2023, at the SLIIT Grounds, Malabe. This year, 15 school teams and eight Universities/ Institutes from across the island competed in this event.

The School Boys Championship of SLIIT Relay Carnival 2023 was won by St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa.
The School Girls Championship of SLIIT Relay Carnival 2023 was won by Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya.
The Open Women’s Championship of SLIIT Relay Carnival 2023 was won by General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University.
SLIIT emerged as the Champions of Open Men’s & Overall Champions of the SLIIT Relay Carnival 2023.
