
The Inaugural Faculty Industry Consultative Board (FICB) for the Faculty of Humanities & Sciences was held on 24th January 2025 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla, bringing together senior industry professionals and academics to guide the strategic direction of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes .
Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, FICB serves as a vital platform for aligning academia with industry needs through strategic direction, industry collaboration and partnerships, and resource mobilization. Insights from Chairpersons, Directors, CEOs, COOs, President’s Counsels, and former C-level executives provided their expertise in enhancing the curriculum’s relevance to the industry, fostering partnerships, and supporting student development.
By leveraging the insights of senior industry leaders, the faculty aims to enhance curriculum relevance, foster meaningful partnerships, and secure essential resources to support innovation and student development which will ensure that graduates are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and industry exposure.
This collaboration strengthens the academic-industry connection, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills and exposure needed for the current and future job markets.
