SLIIT entered into a partnership with the University of Cincinnati (UC) one of the top ranking universities in the USA. Prof. Raj Mehta, Vice Provost, UC International and Prof Lalith Gamage Vice Chancellor/CEO of SLIIT signed the agreement on behalf of the two institutions. Under this partnership, students who follow the IT program of SLIIT can transfer to UC and complete the final two years of the degree and be eligible to do a 3 semesters of paid cooperative education (Co-Op). Our students will also be awarded with scholarships up to US$ 15,000 per year depending on their performance at SLIIT. Students who complete the degree at the UC will also be able to work in the USA for about 3 years after completing their degree.

Our Civil and Mechanical engineering degrees are recognized by IESL, Sri Lanka. SLIIT is the first Sri Lankan institute to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering & Technology, UK. We've been ranked 8th in Sri Lanka and emerged as the number 1 non-state higher education institution in Sri Lanka.
