Ms. Vandhana Ranshari Dunuwila

Career Summary

Vandhana Dunuwila is a Lecturer in Business Analytics at SLIIT Business School (SBS) with extensive lecturing experience in Business Analytics, Business Statistics, and Management Information Systems. She has served as a research supervisor for over 100 undergraduate students, and has been a resource person for numerous workshops related to Teaching, Research Methods, and Data Analysis organized by SLIIT. She has also played a key role in curriculum revision and development at SLIIT Business School and has contributed as an Examiner for Internship viva for over 200 students.

Vandhana is the author of several peer-reviewed articles published in numerous leading international journals, including Social Indicators Research (A rank in ABDC, Q1 in Scimago, Top 7% in Scopus), Quality & Quantity (B rank in ABDC, Q1 in Scimago, Top 10% in Scopus), and European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has also authored a Scopus-indexed book chapter published by Springer, along with two Scopus-indexed conference publications. Additionally, she has made several publications in various google indexed local journals, including Journal of Technology and Value Addition, Sri Lanka Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, Kelaniya Journal of Human Resource Management, CINEC Academic Journal, and SLIIT Business Review. Furthermore, she has presented over 30 papers at local and international conferences.

Vandhana holds the position of Assistant Editor for the SLIIT Business Review and she served as the Editorial Board Co-chair for the 2nd International Conference on Sustainable and Digital Business. Currently, she holds many key administrative roles, including: Team Leader for the AACSB Accreditation Working Committee for Standard 5, Member of the SBS Quality Cell, Brand Lead for Business Analytics specialization, Risk Champion for SBS, Coordinator for SBS Assurance of Learning Committee, and External Examiner Coordinator for Year 3 and Year 4 MIS modules. Previously, she also worked as the Year 4 Student Coordinator for the Department of Information Management and served as a Visiting Lecturer Coordinator, in addition to her teaching and research responsibilities. She was also a Research Assistant for the AHEAD DOR Project of the SLIIT Business School on 'Quality of Life and Employability Potential of Persons with Visual Impairment and Blindness in Sri Lanka'. Before joining SLIIT as an academic, she worked as a Research Assistant for the Faculty of Computing at SLIIT and as a Maths Tutor at Third Space Global (Pvt) Ltd., where she taught Mathematics online to students in the UK.
