I am a dedicated and experienced academic professional with a strong foundation in English language teaching and international relations. Currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), I have a proven track record of impactful teaching and research. My versatile teaching experience spans multiple institutions, including SLIIT, the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM), and the Australian College of Business & Technology (ACBT). I have also served as a Visiting Lecturer at renowned universities like the University of Moratuwa and the University of Kelaniya. With experience in course coordination and volunteering as a teacher in Cambodia, I exhibit strong adaptability, organizational, and leadership skills. I am committed to fostering educational excellence and cultural exchange.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
I hold a BA (Hons) in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Kelaniya, graduating with a Second-Class Upper Division. My educational background reflects my commitment to academic excellence and her passion for English language teaching. Complementing my degree, I have obtained certifications in international relations and advanced spoken and written English, showcasing my interdisciplinary interests and skill development.

Research Interests
My research interests lie at the intersection of English language education, technology integration, and cultural linguistics. My work explores the impact of tools like Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and AI-powered platforms, such as ChatGPT, on student motivation, vocabulary development, and written proficiency. I am also deeply interested in bilingual education policies, the evolution of Sri Lankan English vocabulary in literature, and the influence of social media on language use. By combining insights from morphology, learner psychology, and digital advancements, my research aims to enhance teaching strategies and learner outcomes in English as a second language.

- Editorial Team Member and Event Organizer: Contributed to the success of the Career Fair 2019 at the University of Kelaniya by overseeing editorial and logistical responsibilities.
- Leadership Roles in AIESEC:
- Team Leader: Led the Incoming Global Volunteer program under the Colombo North Local Committee, fostering international cultural exchanges.
- Organizing Committee Vice President (OCVP): Played a key role in coordinating and executing leadership development programs as part of AIESEC Sri Lanka.
