Tea occupies an important place as an economically beneficial product in the Sri Lankan export market. Colony counters are used to estimate a liquid culture's density of microorganisms by counting individual colonies on Petri dish. Microbiological analyses are useful ways to assess the safety and quality of tea involved. This process is used in the tea industry to check the quality of tea and to decide the percentage levels of exporting tea to the global market by counting bacteria percentage in colony samples. As well as identify the three different fungal and calculate different fungal one by one. Using that calculation result will generate and categorize according to the important country standards. For now, these all processes doing by manually.

· Adoption Of Green Computing In Universities (Special Reference To South Eastern University Of Sri Lanka)
Green Computing adoption is sustainable use of Computing resources to address the growing environmental challenges resulted from business activities. Drawing from this need, this study aims to examine the influential factors that affect Green Computing adoption in higher educational institutions. This research work “A study on adoption of Green Computing in Universities: Special Reference to the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka” has been dealing on how Green Computing can help institutions to save energy consumption, with the help of IT. The Green Computing is a technology which is based on the environmental use of computer-related resources. The energy consumption is the main concern and Green Computing will lead to a reduction in energy consumption and e-waste. The Green Computing adoption has been approached by employing a model combining the theory of Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) and the Technological, Organizational and Environmental Framework (TOE). The dependent variable of this study is significantly related to such independent variables as Awareness (AWS), Organizational Readiness (ORD), Relative Advantages (RAD), Security (SEC), Complexity (COX), Compatibility (COM) and Top Management Support (TMG). The sample comprised 197 randomly drawn employees from the institution and the data were collected through self-administered questionnaires. The hypothesis was tested using multiple linear regression. It is found that AWS, ORD, RAD, SEC, and TMG significantly related to the successful adoption of Green Computing by Sri Lankan institutions. The regression model was significant at 0.001 and adjusted R 2 of the fitted model was 75.6, indicating that 75.6% of the variation in the successful adoption of Green Computing is explained by the independent variables. Further, the findings have implications to the institutions, decision makers, service providers, and service consultant to enable effective adoption of Green Computing in general.

Supervisor:
· Smart Bus Arrival Time Prediction System
The students proposed a system which could track the current position of buses as well as it provides the other benefits like smart booking, payment etc. The system informs the passengers through an App installed in the smartphone. The database is automatically updated by online data. The system is developed with technologies like PHP, Android mobile development and get help from Google API, and the system is tested on the Route 17 of Panadura to Kandy Bus.
· Smart campus concept based on RFID and wireless sensor network
Managing the attendance of students is one of the core functions that are performed by the universities. When it comes to a university there are a large number of students within it, therefore marking their attendance and managing is a tedious task to be done. Another factor that is considered is the effective communication and use of resources within the university. Therefore, this system records the student attendance using the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology along with Wireless sensor network (WSN) which could be used to build a smart university and a system with smart notification is built on top of this platform, it also includes a localization system to track the location of a student, in an instance if the student has accessed a restricted area.
· Location Based Garbage Management System with IOT for Smart City
Proposes a cost-effective IOT based system for the government to utilize available resources to efficiently manage the overwhelming amounts of garbage collected each day, while also providing a better solution for the inconvenience of garbage disposal for the citizens. This is done by a network of smart bins which integrates cloud-based techniques to monitor and analyze data collected to provide predictive routes generated through algorithms for garbage trucks. An android app is developed for the workforce and the citizens, which primarily provides the generated routes for the workforce and finds the nearest available smart bin for citizens.
· Indoor navigation system
This research project, an indoor navigation system for an unknown environment is proposed. When a user enters the premises of the building, he downloads the map from a cloud network with the help of Bluetooth. In this system, the database will be stored in the cloud which creates the maps by using the objects inside the building. we will be used Beacon technology for finding the current location of the user. When using this technology, can find the more accurate and low-cost result in an indoor environment. Also in this system, we will create a 3D environment to provide with more realistic spatial information to users. The visualization of the 3D model is implemented using Unity3D game engine and location of the user and path information are rendered on 3D model.

· [Cloud] Native Cloud Support for Running WSO2 Middleware on Microsoft Azure – Google Summer of Codes 2017 (up to Mid Review)
WSO2 middleware can be deployed on Microsoft Azure either using virtual machines or containers. In this project will focus on Virtual Machine approach as container support is still primitive on Azure (except for running Kubernetes on Azure). To do this we need to implement a Carbon Membership Scheme for providing automatic cluster discovery similar to Kubernetes Membership Scheme...????
· Automated mushroom plantation system
This project is designed to overcome the issues of the small scale mushroom growers in the country and to find the local and international market place and develop their enterprise by providing the low-cost automation solution of mushroom cultivation to keep available of optimum climate conditions. Although mushroom is a profitable industry, because of the low cost of substrate farmers can’t achieve maximum profits because of the cultivation issues.
· Intelligent Elderly Monitoring System (IEMS)
