Ms. Chathuri Samarasinghe is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. She joined SLIIT as a tenure-track Lecturer on 1st June 2023. Before joining SLIIT, she worked as a Business Systems Analyst at Radus Tek Services, NJ, USA, and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Oakland University, USA and as a Tutor/Temporary Instructor at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

She has professional experience in information systems, business analysis, data analytics, project management, and statistical computing. She is a committed and motivated academic with experience in teaching mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, numerical methods, financial mathematics, and data analytics. Her academic and research interests include mathematical modelling, statistical modelling, biomathematics, biostatistics, operations research, numerical analysis, and mathematics education.
