Of course. Sessions are conducted in Tamil, Sinhala, and English languages, so you may choose what feels most comfortable for you.

Yes! Counselling and psychotherapy services are completely free for all currently registered students as well as staff members.

You can talk about anything that is affecting your well-being, including stress, anxiety, sadness, relationship issues, academic pressure, family concerns, or simply feeling overwhelmed.

Unsure about whether you need counselling or therapy? You may try a session and see if this is an experience that is beneficial to you.

Sessions usually last 45–60 minutes, giving you enough time to talk at your own pace.

Yes. You and your therapist can decide together what feels beneficial - whether it’s a single session or having ongoing support.

Both options are available. You can choose in-person or online sessions based on what’s easier for you.

Yes, everything you share is confidential. However, in the instance that there is risk of harm to yourself or others, confidentiality may be breached and relevant individuals will be informed. This is to ensure that everyone is safe.

We are available Monday to Saturday between 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexible timings to fit your schedule. You may choose the session that works out best for your schedule when you book it.

Not at all. You don’t need to be in crisis or have a “big problem” to seek support. Many students come to counselling and therapy to talk through everyday challenges, understand their thoughts and emotions, and learn healthier ways of coping with stress.

You can come in if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or confused. Counselling is a space for both support and self-development- whether you’re going through a difficult time or simply want to feel more balanced and confident in your daily life.
