- Navodya Rajapakse is a senior lecturer in English, attached to the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Malabe.
- She joined SLIIT in 2015 and has been engaged in various academic activities, along with the coordination of many undergraduate modules.
- She has also worked as a University Associate of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Curtin University, Australia.
- She had also been a visiting lecturer and an external examiner at the Department of English Language Teaching, University of Kelaniya and University of Colombo for 5 years.
- Before joining SLIIT, she had been a lecturer at the Department of English Language Teaching at the University of Kelaniya.
- During her final year in the Bachelor's, she had been a trainee translator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka.

Language and Culture
The research that has been produced and research in progress by this cluster addresses: 1) the challenges of teaching and learning English grammar, vocabulary, and syntax; 2) approaches to critical evaluation of all genres of English literature identified as drama, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction belonging to different literary periods; 3) stylistic analyses of functional texts produced for a variety of purposes arising in different domains of life such as academic, social, political, industrial, commercial, legal, etc.; 4) production of standard texts in accordance with legitimate social norms to satisfy various public requirements in society; and 5) development of a literate culture with values and morals that can be respected worldwide.
