CAREER SUMMARY
Coming from a Fashion Business background, Tharuka Jayathilake is a Fashion Business lecturer, proficient with constructive and effective teaching methods. She is experienced in the subject areas of Fashion Marketing & Promotion, Fashion Business & Management, Trend forecasting for Fashion, and Fashion Entrepreneurship. She is having professional experience in the fields of fashion design and Design Business education.
Tharuka has worked as a Fashion Designer for both local and international apparel design and manufacturing companies and had contributed to several global fashion brands such as NIKE, Lululemon, RLX, Patagonia, and Polo Ralph Lauren.
After working in the Fashion industry for several years, she then joined the academic stream. She is currently appointed as a senior lecturer in SLIIT Business School, and coordinates the B.Sc (Hons) program of Fashion Business and Management offered by SLIIT Business school.
