Cybersecurity professional and academic with experience spanning industry, teaching, and research. My professional experience includes working in Cyber, Digital Privacy and Trust at Deloitte Advisory Services (Pvt) Ltd. Sri Lanka, with exposure to data privacy, information security, privacy risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and security and privacy frameworks. My academic and research interests include cybersecurity, network security, data privacy and protection, malware analysis, information security governance, and secure systems. I am passionate about bridging industry practices with academic learning and providing students with practical, hands-on exposure alongside fundamental cybersecurity concepts. My research experience also includes malware detection and analysis, with a particular interest in security solutions for emerging and evolving cyber threats.
