As part of NEW2AN 2026 (International Conference on Next Generation Wired/Wireless Networks and Systems), SLIIT hosted this pre-conference workshop, diving deep into the world of AI and Computer Vision!

Moderated by Prof. Ruchire Eranga Wijesinghe (SLIIT), with an insightful technical session by Prof. Akila Subasinghe from the University of Birmingham Dubai, participants explored CNNs, image classification, object detection, generative AI, and real-world applications in healthcare, autonomous vehicles, and robotics.
