SLIIT Sparks AI and Robotics Innovation at Musaeus College

Sparking curiosity in artificial intelligence!

On June 12th, the SLIIT Faculty of Engineering lit up Musaeus College, Colombo with an electrifying Robotics and AI workshop for the brilliant young minds of the Junior Science Circle and Young Inventors Club!

 

The day was packed with hands-on discovery, featuring:

Core robotics principles and their coolest modern applications

Live robot demonstrations that brought ideas to life

A step-by-step build of a basic Line Following Robot

A peek into how Robotics and AI join forces

A lively Q&A buzzing with bold ideas and big questions!

 

Huge thanks to Ms. Shehani Jayasinghe, Ms. Oshadhi Gunathilake, and Dr. Nushara Wedasingha for inspiring these wonderfully creative students and giving them a first look at the upcoming SLIIT Robofest 2026 competition.
