The SLIIT’s B.Ed. (Hons) in Physical Sciences offers specialized training in teaching Physics and Mathematics, equipping students with both subject mastery and effective pedagogical skills. Course Summary

Local A/Ls : Minimum of 3 “S” passes including Biology & Chemistry. 

Cambridge/Edexcel A/Ls :Minimum of 3 “D” passes including Biology & Chemistry.

Applicants are also required to pass the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT in addition to fulfilling the entry requirements stated above.

The fee for this degree is LKR 215,000 per semester. Fees for each semester must be paid before commencement of the semester.

The course fee is all-inclusive, covering lectures, tutorials, examinations, and access to library and computer laboratory facilities.

The B.Ed. (Hons) in Physical Sciences at SLIIT is a four-year full-time degree program conducted in English. It is approved by the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka, and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The program includes structured teaching practice, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in real classroom environments.  

In the final year, students are required to complete a research dissertation, promoting critical thinking and academic inquiry. The program comprises a minimum of 120 credits and is aligned with SLQF Level 6 standards.
