
On July 10, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was executed between The Helping Hand Psychological Hospital & Research Center and the SLIIT Faculty of Humanities and Sciences. This collaborative partnership, initiated by the SLIIT Career Guidance Unit, is designed to offer mutual benefits through internship opportunities, job placements, industry visits, training programs for students and staff, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
The MoU was signed on behalf of SLIIT by Dr. Malitha Wijesundara, Dean of the SLIIT Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, and Dr. Nilanga Abeysinghe, Head of the SLIIT School of Psychology. Representing The Helping Hand Psychological Hospital & Research Center were Ms. Thaaru Paranavithana, Director and Consultant Psychologist, and Dr. Dayan Samarasekara, In-House Doctor. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the management of the Faculty of Humanities & Sciences, alongside representatives from the SLIIT Student Services and SLIIT Career Guidance Unit.
