Faculty of Computing to host the work shop in patent databases, patent searching, and Intellectual Property

The Faculty of Computing Research Committee and the Coordinating Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI) successfully conducted the first workshop with Prof Ajith De Alwis (Project Director, COSTI) in the presence of Prof. Lalith Gamage (President/CEO SLIIT). This workshop is the first of the series of workshops which are planned under FoC Research Committee. The workshop discussed patent databases, patent searching, and Intellectual Property. The workshop was coordinated under the guidance of Prof Chandimal Jaywardhane (Dean/FOC).

The COSTI also said that they would help us to establish a Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) in SLIIT under World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO) of Sri Lanka if we are further interested in Intellectual Property.
