SLIIT Business school together with SLIIT Business school Student Community held 14th SLIIT Business School Student Research Conference (SBSSRC) successfully on 10th of December 2021. Dr. Harsha de silva , Member of Parliment was the chief guest .SBS student Community organized two keynote speeches and a panel discussion under the theme of “Tomorrow’s Tycoons” during the morning session. Mr. Dilith Jayaweera , Chairman of George Steuart Company and Mr. Sahan Yapa ,CEO , Spera Labs delivered keynote speeches . Mr. Eyaz Fazul who is the CEO of RHODA and Mr. Sandun Wijemanna , Chairman -Serendib Music Group participated for the panel discussion which was moderated by Mr. Rochana Silva , President SBSSC.
During the Afternoon session Dr. Au Wee Chang , Senior Lecturer , Department of Business , Monash University ,Malaysia delivered the keynote address on ” Work Life Balance during a Pandemic “. 5 conference tracks were held after the keynote speech, and the tracks were chaired by senior academics from National Universities in Sri Lanka. Ms. Udanee Samarasinghe was the conference chair , Ms. Anupama Dissanayake and Ms. Naduni Madhawika were the conference Co-Chairs. Proceedings of the day ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Nilmini Rathnayake who was the Secretary for SBSSRC.Prof. Lalith Gamage -MD/CEO of SLIIT ,Prof. Lakshaman Rathnayake , Chairman -SLIIT , Prof.Nimal Rajapakse , DVC (Academic) , Prof.Samantha Thelijjagoda ,Dean , SLIIT Business School. and other senior academics and Non academics of SLIIT particpated along with more than 600 Studnets to the event.
