Carpentry Workshop for Architecture Students

Highlights from the Carpentry Workshop!

On 23rd November 2024,a one-day Carpentry Workshop was conducted by R. M. Perera – Pvt Ltd, for our BSc (Hons) Architecture Year 1 students and BA (Hons) Interior Design Year 2 students.
– The students had the incredible opportunity to:
Learn about “The Art and Craft of Carpentry” through an engaging presentation.
– Tour the R. M. Perera factory in Kahathuduwa to gain insights into timber machining, carpentry processes, polishing, and more.
– Work in teams to design and create their own furniture pieces, turning their concepts into reality under expert guidance.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to R. M. Perera – Pvt Ltd for hosting this inspiring workshop and equipping our students with valuable hands-on experience and industry knowledge.
This workshop was a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and practical skills—a memorable experience for all! Students also received souvenirs and certificates for their participation.
