Congratulations Team VisCon from SLIIT Faculty of Computing!
It is with great pleasure we announce that Faculty of Computing – SLIIT research project : VisCon, which was supervised by Ms. Namalie Walgampaya | Co-Supervisor: Dr. Dharshana Kasthurirathne along with the students: Vikumsri Ambegoda, Sanduni Wanigasekara, Tharkana Indrahenaka and Aloki Bandara has bagged the award of Merit in the Tertiary Student Technology Category at NBQSA 2022. VisCon is a computer vision-based gesture-controlling system that allows users to control a computer using hand, head, and eye movements and gestures.
The NBQSA – The ICT Awards 2022 was held at Monarch Imperial, on Friday, November 04th 2022. The competition has been curated to showcase and benchmark Sri Lankan ICT and has been conducted by the Sri Lankan section of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, over the past years.
