SLIIT Codefest 2022 – Datathon
Datathon, the biggest Data Science competition organised by SLIIT for the 4th consecutive time as a part of SLIIT Codefest 2022. It is a venue for university students to showcase their skills in the fields of AI/ML and Data Science. This year, over 300 university students, 75+ teams from University of Colombo, University of Peradeniya, University of Moratuwa, UOF, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, UOK, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Ruhuna, SLIIT, KDU, NSBM Green University, and IIT participated. From the registered groups, the top 8 teams who got selected from the initial round were invited for the final round and evaluated by Wiley Global Technology. The data science team at the Faculty of Computing – SLIIT coordinated this competition with the help of faculty members and other support services.
Datathon was completed successfully, and several academic members, including Prof. Chandimal Jayawardena, Dr. Nuwan Kodagoda, Dr. Jayantha Amararachchi, and Dr. Samantha Rajapaksha, joined the event as well-wishers
