This year’s Colours Awards Ceremony was certainly a cause for celebration, honoring the achievements of 220 sportsmen and women for their dedication and hard work during the years 2019/ 2020. SLIIT Colours and special achievements in sports were awarded by two distinguished Chief guests Mr. Muthiah Muralidaran, former Sri Lankan Cricketer and Member of ICC Hall of fame and Mrs. Sriyani Kulawasa OLY, President of Sri Lanka Olympians whose presence made the event much brighter. Most outstanding Sportsman of the year was awarded to Buwaneka Goonethilleka (Badminton), and Most outstanding Sportswoman of the year was awarded Tharindhie Alles (Basketball, Netball and Athletics). Best All-round student of the year (Sports) was awarded to Omal Alahakoon for his achievements in Football and Futsal.
