The “SLIIT AquaClash” Invitational University Swimming Championship 2024 took place at the SLIIT Malabe Campus on April, 2024. Participating universities included SLIIT, KDU, UOC, UOK, Curtin Colombo, APIIT, USJ, NIBM, ICBT, and SLTC Research University. The event featured 14 individual events and 4 relay events for men, women, and mixed categories.
Winners included Binuri Gunawardhana and Seneshi Herath from SLIIT for Best Swimmer (Women’s), and Kavindra Nugawela and Sandev Senarathne from SLIIT for Best Swimmer (Men’s). SLIIT emerged as champions in both the men’s and women’s categories, followed by KDU and APIIT for women, and UOC and KDU for men.
Overall, SLIIT secured the highest points with 490, followed by KDU with 233 points and APIIT with 185 points. Congratulations were extended to all participating universities for their exceptional performances.
