Congratulations to Nuwan Sayuru Senarathne from the third year Cyber Security batch of SLIIT Faculty of Computing for being awarded as the National Champion under the network track at Huawei ICT Competition 2022/23 hosted by Huawei technologies. The award ceremony was held on 7th February 2023 at Shangri-La Lotus Ballroom.
Nuwan Sayuru has also been qualified to represent Sri Lanka for the regional competition under the network track which is scheduled to be held in Indonesia on March 17, 2023, as a group competition with two other undergraduates from SLIIT Faculty of Computing.
The Huawei ICT competition 2022-2023 was conducted under the theme of “Connection-Glory-Future” to enhance the students’ ICT knowledge as well as practical and application skills and, ultimately, inspire innovation which will be mandatory in the ICT industry. The national competition was organized by Huawei Sri Lanka, together with Sri Lanka Inventors Commission.
