Embracing Hope: Addressing and Preventing Risky Behaviours Among Adolescents.
The Faculty of Humanities and Sciences conducted an Awareness Raising workshop at the Holy Family Convent. Bambalapitiya was very successful today with over 400 O/L and A/L students participating in two sessions. The workshop was well received and it was encouraging to see students’ enthusiasm.
The programme also consists of a competition to engage students in an Awareness Raising Campaign on Risky Behaviours and Preventing them among Adolescents. Individuals or Teams of not more than 5 members can either compete in the Audio-Video (less than 30 seconds) and Poster category to win attractive prizes.
This was the first in a series of 8 planned workshops in Colombo (4), Kandy (2), and Galle (2) districts.
“This project is supported by Australia Awards – Sri Lanka and Maldives as a part of a small grant scheme”
