Applicants for any programme of study offered by SLIIT should first complete the preliminary application form. It must be submitted with the following documents either by post or email to: international@sliit.lk
The Academic Department will evaluate the student’s program application. On successful evaluation of the application, the student will receive a conditional offer letter. On confirmation of receipt of payment, you will receive the Acceptance letter from the Admissions Division. Students are required to sign the acceptance letter and return it to Admissions either by post or via email to international@sliit.lk
On confirmation of acceptance to join SLIIT foreign students should request for airport pick up and accommodation well in advance prior to arrival. Students are required to arrive on the island two weeks prior to the Orientation program.
On arrival, Students will be assisted in finding places of accommodation. Students also have the option of finding places of accommodation on their own. Students would also be assisted in attending to banking needs. They would be taken on a campus tour to orient themselves regarding facilities on Campus.

Obtain an ‘on arrival visa’ form the Immigration counter at the Sri Lankan Airport. To receive this visa, it is necessary to produce the Acceptance Letter sent by SLIIT. It is also possible to apply for ‘on arrival visa’ online at Online Visa Application prior to your arrival in Sri Lanka. A social visit covering thirty days will be endorsed in your passport. Thereafter, SLIIT undertakes the responsibility to ensure that the social visit visa is converted to a resident visa valid for a period of one year. This resident visa needs to be renewed every year. Log in to Department of Immigration and Emigration Sri Lanka Visa Fees for further details regarding visa fee and other relevant matters related to visa.
It is also required to provide proof of depositing a sum of US $ 1500/= in a local bank in Sri Lanka. It is also possible to meet this requirement by showing proof of having exchanged a sum of US $ 1500/= into Sri Lankan rupees.
Registration formalities need to be completed at the Metropolitan Campus located on the 15th floor of BoC Merchant Tower, No: 28, ST. Michaels’s Road, Colombo 03. Please make sure that originals of all necessary documents mentioned above are produced at the time of registration. On completion of formalities, students will receive SLIIT official registration number and their class schedules. Thereafter, the academic journey at SLIIT begins.
