To develop new plant varieties through genetic manipulations for commercial and domestic use
To synthesize nanomaterials using natural materials and to apply them to mitigate environmental problems
Anthropogenic activities including industrialization has led to many environmental concerns which need to carefully be addressed for well-being of the living beings. Such concerns include water and soil contamination, heavy use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture etc. Our purpose is to find new nanomaterials to alleviate these concerns and contribute to environmental decontamination.
Although many studies in various aspect of students on line learning were carried in other countries (Jessie S. Barrot, Ian I. Llenares & Leo S. del Rosario, 2021; Harisa Mardiana, 2020), no studies were reported the impact of external and internal factors of both lecturers and students on students’ learning process. Data acquired from the students and academic staff in FoHS are used.
We are a leading non-state higher education institute approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the Universities Act. We are members of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), as well as the International Association of Universities (IAU). We are also the first Sri Lankan institute to be accredited by the Institute of Engineering & Technology( IET), UK and Engineering Council, UK.
